What is AIS?
Academic Intervention Services, or AIS, is a program that provides additional support to students in areas including
English Language Arts and Math.
Students who receive AIS support typically meet in small groups each week. This small group instruction reinforces specific skills to support children in meeting the Common Core Learning Standards (CCLS).
How do students qualify for AIS?
Students qualify for AIS based on several factors, including teacher recommendation and their performance on district benchmarks and state assessments (i.e. New York State ELA and Math Exams).
How will I know if my child is recommended to receive AIS?
Parents and guardians will be notified in writing of AIS Services.
We look forward to collaborating with you and your child this year!
